The other thing: Americans are worked to death, underpaid, stressed, and miserable. Who wants to come home from a second job, take care of children and housework, then shop and chop and fix food, clean up a mess, clean up a mess?

Most people, especially single mothers, are so starved for time it’s just more and more and more work on top of too much work already.

Enjoyable cooking at home requires time which requires money.
